McLaren Artura Spider UK Debut: The Ultimate High-Performance Convertible Supercar Unveiled

The McLaren Artura Spider had its first public showing in the UK this week, debuting in front of media personalities and McLaren customers in London. The event took place at the prestigious Outernet venue, which opened in 2022 and was recognized by The Times newspaper in 2023 as London’s most visited tourist attraction, and featured the latest addition to the McLaren supercar lineup. Guests attending the unveiling of McLaren’s newest convertible supercar were welcomed by films of the Artura Spider displayed on massive LED screens overlooking Tottenham Court Road. McLaren Automotive CEO Michael Leiters, along with McLaren EMEA Regional Director Brett Soso and other McLaren executives, hosted the 120 guests.

Notable attendees witnessing McLaren’s High-Performance Hybrid convertible for the first time included singer Sam Ryder, rapper Tinie Tempah, internet sensation Francis Bourgeois, former Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore, and Soul II Soul founder Jazzie B.

The new Artura Spider comes with significant enhancements to power, performance, and driver engagement. These improvements, combined with the sensory experience of open-top driving, add an extraordinary new dimension to the Artura range.                                                                                                       Weighing just 1,457kg*, the Artura Spider is the lightest car in its class of convertible supercars, boasting a weight advantage of up to 83kg over its competitors. Paired with its high-performance hybrid powertrain producing 700PS, this results in an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 480PS per tonne. Consequently, the Artura Spider delivers remarkable performance, reaching a top speed of 330km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.0 seconds.

Alongside the debut of the Artura Spider, a new Artura coupe with the same enhancements has also been introduced, solidifying its reputation as a next-generation supercar.
